What weights stronger, the energy supply or the right to a home?
The village Pödelwitz in Saxony is located on 20 million tons of lignite, which are to be mined.
Many inhabitants have already moved away, they are compensated.
Others fight doggedly around house and yard.
Jens Hauser and André Kremkow and their families are the last residents of the village.
Greenpeace supports their fight against the Power Plant "Mibrag"
The use of fossil fuels, especially coal, is bad for people and the environment.
A study by the "ClimateAnalytics" commissioned by the Danish Environmental Foundation says:
"If Germany is going to fulfill the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement of 2015,
by the end of 2018 already a dozen power plants have to be shut down.
By 2030, all power plants would have to go offline.
